What You’ll Be Doing – Key Responsibilities

As a Raw Material Handler, you will play a critical role in the supply chain, ensuring that raw materials are received, stored, and delivered to production workstations efficiently and safely. Your daily tasks will be varied and essential to the smooth operation of the plant.

Unloading, Receiving & Bulk Operations

  •  Unload potato trucks and continuously feed potatoes into the hopper – a critical task for production.
  •  Unload and load raw materials including grit, corn, oil, nitrogen, seasoning, corrugates, pallets, and packaging materials .
  •  Bulk offload corn, oil, and corn meal into silos and oil tanks, as well as nitrogen and gas .
  •  Print and submit weighbridge reports – maintain accurate records.

Material Transport & Inventory Management

  •  Transport raw materials to production workstations .
  •  Manage production stock returns as per return processes .
  •  Stack raw materials according to allergen principles and food safety standards .
  •  Keep RMS stores clean and maintain GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) including housekeeping, stacking pallets, and disposing of waste including obsolete stock .
  •  Complete cycle count activities and maintain accurate inventory records .
  •  Conduct daily stock reporting for all bulk materials .
  •  Monitor and control daily temperature in the main store .

Forklift Operation & Safety

  •  Check the forklift and fill in the daily check sheet to ensure compliance on MHE (Material Handling Equipment) .
  •  Conduct daily activities in alignment with SOPs trained on by the Logistics Manager and Logistics Coordinator .
  •  Raise near misses and BBS (Behavior-Based Safety) and adhere to EHS rules and policies including standards .
  •  Clean material spillages immediately .
  •  Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies .
  •  Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs .
