What You’ll Do: The Heartbeat of Production

As our Maintenance Technician, you will be the crucial link between smooth operation and unexpected downtime. Your days will be a dynamic mix of proactive care and reactive problem-solving:

  • Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Execute scheduled tasks and complete timely repairs to keep our high-speed lines running, including equipment inspections, lubrication, and adjustments.
  • Breakdown Response & Fault Diagnosis: Be a first responder to breakdowns, using your expertise to troubleshoot root causes and implement lasting, effective repairs on mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical systems.
  • Maintenance Quality & Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to the highest standards of safety, quality (ISO), food safety, and environmental compliance. This includes strict adherence to permit-to-work and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Equipment Reliability: Proactively perform condition monitoring, and actively contribute to asset care initiatives like 5S, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) to reduce chronic issues.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with production, engineering, and stores teams. Your insights will be key to improving task planning, identifying parts, and driving continuous improvement.

Your success will be measured by key performance indicators, including planned maintenance compliance, Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), equipment reliability, and your impact on reducing repeat breakdowns.

What You’ll Bring to the Table

We are seeking a dedicated professional who understands the rigours of a manufacturing environment.

  • Education: A N6 Certificate with a Trade Test as a Millwright is required. An N6 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering combined with a Millwright Trade Certificate is preferred.
